About me

Hi, I’m Vio, a photographer based in Luxembourg. I mostly shoot on black and white film, but I also enjoy experimenting with new things, like using expired film.

Since I was a child, I’ve always loved taking pictures of the places I would travel to and my friends and family. I’ve always cherished the idea of capturing moments and creating unforgettable memories.

I began my photography journey back in 2022. I bought myself a Fujifilm X100 and started experimenting with it, taking it everywhere. I took many pictures, most of which were not great, but I persisted. Despite my efforts, I still wasn’t entirely satisfied with my work.

Last year, my mom lent me an old film camera that belonged to my grandfather. She told me he had bought it with his first salary. I became fascinated by 35mm film and the mechanics of film cameras. I fell in love with the tangible aspect of film photography and the intricate process involved. I taught myself to develop, to make darkroom prints and my own scan.

Since then, I’ve been passionate about film photography and have invested all my money into it. 😉
